Flowery Charity Shop Top

Charity shops are a great place to find cheap well made clothes if you don't mind wearing something someone else had. The only down side is that you may not get the piece of clothing you like in your size. But if your willing to spend a few minutes sewing, the results are rewarding.

I found this really nice top in my local charity shop only it was a size 20 (and I'm a size 8) but when I looked at the way the top was sewn together in the first place I saw that it had fairly simple lines.  So half an hour later it became this
The best part is that it's totaly unique and totally me.

I hope this has inspired you!

Denim skirt!

So this is my first real post about sewing and what better to start off with than my denim skirt.

When I started I was abit nervous because I´ve never sewn with denim befor. But with the help of this ebook, I was able to complete the skirt.  The insturctions where great and took me step by step through making this skirt. It was also great for learning new skills such as how to install pockets and flys.

It was fun to do a longer project (it toke me about a week from cutting out the pattern to adding the finishing touches) and it also meant a trip to my favourate sewing shop Abakhan.
Next time I do this project I think I´ll do the longer skirt and I´ll make sure I blog about it.

Welcome

Hello and welcome to my blog! I'd like to use it as a place where I can post my inspirations in sewing and hopefully inspire you too. I'm hoping that I will be able to share my first idea soon so keep watching.
